This impressive London town house required us to erect a 23.0m x 16.0m new DESSA apex temporary roof system over the existing main roof which was due for removal. An additional floor was also being added to the structure, which housed the Gibraltar Convalescence Home.
A 23.0m gantry was required for the front elevation with further localised beam supports to bare weight of the hoist which was set off gantry. The extreme height of the building provided us with our single biggest challenge. Installing scaffold ties for the temporary roof which had to be high enough to accommodate the newly constructed floor was something we had done before and allowed us to rise to the task.
