The refurbishment of this office building required us to provide scaffolding support…beginning on the fourth floor with planners adding an additional floor the structure.
With the rest of the property being occupied by tenants and a high density of London traffic and footfall, health and safety issues occupied a great of our planning.
The rear elevation was installed off a designed cantilever truss from the fourth floor and above. A 28.0m gantry was added to the Strand elevation supporting a passenger hoist off gantry and a beam hoist at one end of the gantry.
A pedestrian management and exclusion zone was set up after consultation with local authorities and the client.
